Back to School Event
PSG organizes a “Back to School” event (picnic/potluck) for teachers and students.
PSG Meetings
PSG coordinates to find speakers for the PSG meetings. Topics in the past have included:
- Damaris Molina, a public school school principal – presented the findings of “Strategic Schooling – Theoretical Underpinnings by Dennis Parker”
- Paul Jeong founder of a SAT Prep study program – presented “Preparing for College Admission”
- Joseph Ferreira and James Kuan –“ Internet Safety”
- Hutch Hubby and Chris Condon, both certified “first-responders” for the city of Anaheim – presented “Earth-quake Preparedness”
AWS Music Programs and Talent Show
Each school year AWS students perform three times during the music performances and talent show. PSG provides refreshments and gifts for a few specific teachers/helpers. Volunteers are needed for refreshment set-up, to furnish drinks/snacks, clean-up, and to purchase gifts.
Teacher Inservice Day Meals
PSG organizes and prepares breakfast and/or lunch for all AWS teachers and staff during the teacher inservice days. Parents are contacted to donate breakfast and lunch items, and to assist with set-up, food service, and clean-up.
AWS Open House
PSG furnishes refreshments during Open House.
Teacher Appreciation Lunch
PSG organizes an end of the year lunch for AWS teachers. Volunteers are needed to provide lunch items and purchase gifts for the teachers.
Authors’ Tea
Authors’ Tea is a twice yearly event to showcase student’s writing. For each tea, two students will be selected from each grade level to read and celebrate their writing with their family. Volunteers are needed to provide refreshments.
